The worthless hack Mike Davidson at MD Arms has always been a big fan of ripping off other people's designs and acting like he reinvented the wheel. Awhile back we ordered in one of his new "turds" and put it up against the King Armory KA-SG01A literally. Considering that the part is a blatant copy (according to an ex-employee they spent a few months trying to figure out how the KA-SG01A worked before finally opting to just copy it) and that they were selling them dirt cheap, we decided to "test their metal" by putting it in a lathe and using a KA-SG01A piston to actually machine it down. After this video we also heated each up with a torch to approximately 1600F to check for oxidation problems (the MD Arms "Booster" quickly melted and burned ). The KA-SG01A, after being used as a machining tool and heated to bright red, was put in a Saiga-12 and is STILL out there running. There are two types of gun parts out there folks and you get what you pay for, wouldn't you rather pay a couple extra bucks and get something that is made to be durable rather than something that is a cheap knockoff? Watch the video and enjoy

The Saiga 12 Bull has a ported gas block. I was taking to kingjoey and he was telling me about this fluting idea he had to keep the gas system clean on a Saiga 12. I just ported the gas block instead of fluting it, but I personaly think the kings way would have the exact same results.
I see a lot of people buying aftermarket products to make these guns run. In my opinion you don't need all that stuff. As far as polishing of bolt carriers. I did do a very light polish on the bottom of the carrier and the stem of the bolthead, but that was all. I had to install parts for my U.S. parts count, but the only parts that would possibly affect the weapon as far as firing was a Tapco FCG and a KingArmory puck. Everything else is stock. You need the correct porting for these guns to work, but I think that some of the products and services out there are nothing more than couch commando fluff. I plan on testing this system more but the weather has been bad. My uncle shot it in between rain showers on Saturday, but it was 46 degrees and crappy. I will test it more when it's nicer outside.
Anyway, these are pics of the test weapon and the video is of my uncle the big pheasant hunter shooting a Saiga for the very first time.
The ammo used in this test is that cheap low brass ammo WalMart sells in the 100 pack.

Finally got most of the bugs worked out of my 22-250 project and am almost ready for varmit hunting. I hand lapped the bore so I would not have to go throug the long bore break in process. Took it out to the range today and run it through its paces. I used the sigting in process for the fouling shots and then fired three five shot groups. All groups were under 1/4 inch and that made me a very happy camper. Next week I am going to work on sighting in on a cold bore which takes forever. I will let ya all know how it goes.
One problem I did notice on it today is that after firing it is a bit hard to extract the case from the chamber. After inspecting the fired cases I see no evidence of chamber flaws which leads me to believe the caming surface on the head of my "after market" firing pin may be the cause. I guess I will pull it out this week and look for abnormal wear marks.[/font]

Of the numerous things we're bringing out this year, this is one of the most anticipated. Unlike the old mechanical divertors (A&W, etc) which aren't optimal for use with certain ammo, the new KA-SD12 attachment will spread shot patterns laterally yet not effect slugs, less-lethal, and other specialty rounds. Yet another KA innovation using "outside the box" designs to deliver world-class performance and safety. We're going to "let the cat out of the bag" on this new product in a few months.

Isn't it amazing how the stock market index is nearing 13K and the economy is still tanking? Gotta love how irrelevant the Dow is when the gov't is messing up the currency. Allow me to explain....if the dollar is devaluing and everything is costing more dollars to buy, so will stocks. So even though the stock "value" appears to be going up, a lot of it is due to inflation caused by the .gov monetizing a lot of its current spending. This administration has more than doubled (possibly tripled) the amount of hard currency in circulation, any idea what that does when there is no fixed item such as gold required to back it? Was predicting this since 2009, seems I was right on the money again. Really wish that (a) this administration wasn't so damn predictable, and (b) that the average American was educated enough to realize that the gov't is the biggest counterfeiter of US currency right now. Printing money to pay bills is no more legal when the gov't does it than when we do it, the difference is that we'd go to jail
